Ernie Henry - Co-Owner, Head Coach

Originally from Gaithersburg MD, Ernie has been involved in sports all his life, including from baseball, football, soccer, basketball, gymnastics and wrestling. After graduating high school, he decided to join the Army at 18 and served 11 years all in Airborne and Special Operations units.

Ernie discovered CrossFit in Iraq in 2007, earned his Crossfit Level 1 certification while assigned to 5th Special Forces Group in 2008 and has been involved in it ever since. 

In 2016, Ernie is enrolled in Methodist University while pursuing his degree in BS in Exercise Science.

Russ Kelley, Co-Owner, General Manager

Russ is originally from Dallas, TX and grew up participating in a wide variety of sports.  Following college, Russ joined the Army in 1999.  He retired from active duty in 2015, spending the last 14 years as part of the Fort Bragg community.

Russ was first introduced to CrossFit in 2007 through the Army and received his Level 1 Certification in 2013.  Outside of the gym Russ enjoys the outdoors and traveling.

Lisa Ward, CrossFit and Metanoia Kids Trainer


In 2012, Lisa moved from California to Fort Bragg with her husband. As this was their first duty station, she joined a CrossFit gym to meet people and instantly found a community. 

Since starting CrossFit she has stayed active in the gym throughout two pregnancies. Lisa completed the CFM Coach Training Program and received her CrossFit Level 1 certification in October 2016, accepting a coaching position shortly thereafter. Through coaching and by example she hopes to inspire her children.

Ashley Guyer, CrossFit Trainer


Ashley is originally from Watertown, Wisconsin. After playing collegiate soccer she found Crossfit in the fall of 2014. In 2015 she obtained her Level 1 certification and soon after moved to Fort Bragg with her husband. 

Ashley recently completed a Masters program in Business Administration and outside the gym Ashley enjoys hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.

Eleni Long, CrossFit Trainer

Eleni is a Fayetteville native and graduate of the Jack Britt High School Class of 2009 where she attended multiple weightlifting classes and played on the school softball and volleyball teams. Following high school she played collegiate volleyball in North Carolina. 

After her collegiate volleyball years ended, Eleni stayed active with indoor and beach volleyball, running and yoga.  In November of 2015, following the birth of her first child, Eleni discovered CrossFit at Crossfit Metanoia and quickly felt a connection with the community and the style of exercise. She has been a fixture in the community ever since and has trained with CFM through the birth of her second child in March 2017.  Eleni completed the CFM Coach Training Program in March 2018 and accepted a coaching position that April.

Jessica Hockensmith, CrossFit Trainer

Jessica is originally from Louisville, Kentucky and competed as a gymnast for 10 years before discovering CrossFit in 2012. In 2013, she was a member of the CrossFit Charleston Team competing at the CrossFit South East Regionals.  Jessica has also competed as a member of the National Pro Grid League (NPGL) team Los Angeles Reign in 2016. 

Jessica began coaching in 2014 after obtaining her CrossFit Level 1 Certification and loves to help others become a better version of themselves.  She hopes to one day obtain her doctorate of Physical Therapy. 

Outside of the gym Jessica loves to be outdoors, going to the beach, hiking and traveling to new places.
